About

Toronto’s premier wedding officiant.

Meet Martin Frith, Humanist Officiant

I’m Martin Frith—a licensed, secular Humanist wedding officiant with over 20 years of experience crafting non-religious ceremonies throughout Toronto, the GTA, and beyond.

Ceremonies as unique as your love.

I’ve had the privilege of performing hundreds of weddings, each one uniquely tailored to reflect the couple’s values, story, and style.

Whether your ceremony is intimate or grand, traditional or unconventional, I’m here to guide you—from the first planning conversation to your final “I do.” I bring a calm presence, a touch of humour, and deep respect to every ceremony I lead.

My goal is to help you create a ceremony that:

  • Feels authentic and memorable
  • Reflects your relationship and values
  • is in the location of your choice in Toronto or beyond

Honouring all of life’s milestones.

While I describe myself as a Humanist officiant, what matters most is that your ceremony feels authentic, inclusive, and deeply meaningful for you.

Beyond weddings, I also offer other life-affirming ceremonies—including vow renewals, baby namings, family celebrations, dedications, milestone birthdays, pet memorials, and funeral or memorial services.

When I’m not officiating ceremonies, I offer marriage preparation courses and individual and couples counselling as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist.

Martin’s core beliefs

This is your wedding ceremony—your way.

Your wedding is a major life milestone, and your ceremony should be a true reflection of who you are as individuals and as a couple. It’s your opportunity to express what your commitment means to you—on your terms, in your words.

I’m your guide, collaborator and master storyteller.

Think of me as your consultant. I’m here to offer guidance, inspiration, and support as we shape your ceremony and tell your love story. Whether you want to create something simple and elegant or deeply personalized, I’ll help you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way.

A ceremony can honour the important people in your life.

Ceremonies are also an opportunity to recognize those who’ve shaped your journey. You might want to include a friend or family member with a reading, music, or symbolic gesture—or take a moment to remember a loved one who has passed. I’ll help you find thoughtful ways to bring them into the moment.

You’re in good hands
